Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 40 cm, title: Full Moon
When I paint it is imperative that I’m technically challenged. It is much about color combinations, play with the contrast and the depth creating the wanted harmony. The composition must be in balance with noise and breaks in fine distribution. The choice of materials is a mixture of acrylic paint, coal and chalk. Nothing is random, before I start on the canvas I always make a sketch where color and motif are carefully prepared. The running paint style ties the motif together as graceful and fine garlands giving the ease, spontaneity and story in the painting that I seek. Terese Andersen
